
The Muslim Christian Dialogue Resource, \"A Journey Together\" was launched in the Council Chamber of Cork City Hall on the 16th of January 2013. The Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Emmet O Halloran officially launched the resource and this was followed by addresses made by Fr Fachtna O Driscoll SMA Provincial Leader and by Sheikh Dr Umar al-Qadri.
Prayers were offered by Sheikh Ihab Ahmed (Imam, Blarney St Mosque), Bishop Paul Colton (Church of Ireland), Nura Haji (Somali Human Rights Action Group Ireland) , Bishop John Buckley (Roman Catholikc), Abdelkarim Abdallah (Cork Muslim Society) and Marie-Claire Kah.

The Unity in Diversity Interfaith Event took place in Cork City Hall on the 22nd of January 2010. It was organised by Cois Tine as part of the on-going implementation of the “Connecting Communities, Cork City Integration Strategy 2008 – 2011” which seeks to “positively challenge discrimination and promote an inclusive, intercultural city in which all are valued.”
Over six hundred people gathered to listen to the concert which formed the first part of the event and to participate in the second part which consisted of prayer shared by members of the Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Bhuddist, Hindu and Baha’i faiths.
